Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 5 ounces each tuna, drained
  • 1 pack 12 ounces gemelli or any short pasta, cooked
  • 1 to 2 cups fresh mushrooms chopped
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cans 11 ounces each condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup french fried onions crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked pasta, drained tuna, chopped mushrooms, onions, and frozen green peas. Season the mixture with salt, then stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup along with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Toss everything until well-combined and evenly coated.
  2. Transfer the pasta and tuna mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, followed by the crushed french fried onions for a crispy finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden on top.
  3. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy this comforting dish with family and friends!
