Ingredients

  • 18 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 18 ounces dark chocolate chips semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips can also be used
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes or hard peppermint candies

Method

  1. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the finished bark.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate by heating it for 45 seconds. Stir the chocolate, then continue microwaving in 10-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Repeat this process with the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Once melted, stir ¼ cup of the crushed peppermint candies into the white chocolate until evenly combined.
  3. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer approximately ¼ inch thick using a spatula. Carefully drizzle the white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and gently spread it to cover the surface, creating a marbled or layered effect.
  4. Immediately sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of crushed peppermint candies over the top for a festive touch and added crunch. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and allow the bark to chill for about 10 minutes or until completely hardened.
  5. Once set, remove the peppermint bark from the refrigerator and cut it into pieces using a sharp knife. Adjust the sizes to your preference, and enjoy this holiday-inspired treat!
