Ingredients

  • 8 oz. mozzarella balls or bocconcini drained
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tablespoon fresh basil finely chopped
  • ½ tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh oregano finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Pour the olive oil into a medium-sized jar or container with a tight-fitting lid. Add the minced garlic, fresh basil, chopped parsley, oregano, red pepper flakes, and salt. Mix thoroughly to combine and create a well-balanced marinade.
  2. Carefully add the drained mozzarella balls to the jar. Use a spoon to gently toss and coat the cheese in the herb and oil mixture, ensuring each piece is evenly covered. Seal the container and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour to let the flavors meld together. If you're short on time, a 30-minute chill will still yield tasty results.
  3. Serve the marinated mozzarella in a shallow bowl and pair with slices of toasted pita or your favorite crusty artisan bread.
