Making Mango Milkshake
- Rinse the mangoes thoroughly and dry them before peeling. Slice off the flesh and cut it into chunks, then transfer the pieces to a blender jar. Pour in the milk and add the ice cubes if you prefer a chilled drink. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. If the shake ends up thicker than desired, incorporate a splash of milk and blend again briefly to loosen the texture. Once ready, pour the milkshake into glasses and serve immediately while cold and refreshing.
Making Vegan Mango Shake
- Wash and dry the mangoes, peel them, and cut the fruit into rough chunks. Place the mango pieces in a blender, followed by the coconut milk or any plant-based milk you prefer. Add your chosen sweetener—cane sugar, coconut sugar, or jaggery—adjusting the amount based on how sweet the mangoes naturally are.
- Enhance the flavor with saffron strands or alternate seasonings such as cinnamon, cardamom, or vanilla, keeping them optional based on your preference. You can also add ice cubes at this stage or save them for serving. Blend the mixture until velvety smooth. If the shake feels overly thick, add a little water and blend again to reach the ideal consistency.
- Pour the shake into serving glasses and sprinkle with chopped nuts for a bit of crunch. Add a few saffron strands on top if using. Enjoy the vegan mango shake chilled.
