Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger grated
  • 4 –5 black peppercorns
  • ΒΌ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional

Method
 

  1. Pour the water into a small saucepan and bring it to a gentle boil over medium heat. Add the grated ginger, cinnamon stick, black peppercorns, and turmeric powder. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer slowly for about 5–7 minutes, allowing the warm spices and ginger to release their natural oils and aromas into the liquid.
  2. Once the kadha has steeped and turned a golden hue, remove it from the heat. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a cup, discarding the solids. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well. For a touch of sweetness, mix in honey while the drink is still warm. Sip this soothing lemon ginger kadha slowly, enjoying its comforting warmth and vibrant, spiced flavor.
