Ingredients

  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 16 ounces whole mushrooms sliced if preferred
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Begin by heating a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Drizzle in the olive oil and allow it to warm up. Add the mushrooms, then season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Stir the mushrooms gently, letting them sauté for 1–2 minutes until they start to soften.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic until well combined. Pour this aromatic mixture over the mushrooms in the skillet. Continue to cook the mushrooms, stirring occasionally, for 3–5 minutes. Allow the sauce to thicken and reduce while the mushrooms absorb the flavorful glaze, becoming tender and beautifully coated.
  3. Once the mushrooms are ready, transfer them to a serving dish. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color and added freshness. Serve immediately to enjoy their rich, tangy-sweet taste.
