Preparation
- Rinse the carrots thoroughly under running water, scrubbing them gently with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt. Peel them if desired and trim off both ends. For better juice extraction, soak the carrots in clean water for 30 minutes, then chop them into 1 to 1½-inch pieces.
- If using, rinse and peel the ginger. Wash and peel the oranges, then halve them and remove any pith or seeds to prevent bitterness in the juice.
How to Make Carrot Juice in a Blender
- Place the chopped carrots, peeled ginger, ice cubes, and deseeded oranges into a blender jar. (Alternatively, you can first extract orange juice separately and add it to the blender.) Blend the mixture until smooth, adding a few extra ice cubes or a bit of liquid if it appears too thick.
- Position a fine-mesh strainer over a large bowl and pour the blended juice in batches. Using the back of a spoon or the bottom of a cup, press down firmly to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp once strained. Pour the bright orange juice into glasses and serve it fresh and cold for the best flavor.
How to Make Carrot Juice in a Juicer
- Turn on your juicer and gradually feed in the carrots, ginger, and oranges through the chute. Allow the machine to extract the juice completely and collect it from the spout. Pour into glasses and serve the carrot juice right away to enjoy its vibrant color and naturally sweet flavor.
